Aoife White is leaving the NCSR on Friday 7th June, after five years of serving as Communications Officer. Aoife has beaten fierce completion in being selected for a prestigious Bord Bia Marketing Fellowship. This will give her the opportunity of gaining Marketing and Promotional experience in London, while pursuing a fully funded MSc in International Marketing Practice with UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.

It is hoped by the UCD Smurfit School and Bord Bia that participants in the fellowship programme will become the future leaders of the food industry, promoting Irish Food internationally. From the Smurfitt School website: ‘The challenging trading environment facing the Irish Food Industry makes it imperative for an intensified focus on growth in international export markets.  A key part of Bord Bia’s industry growth strategy is to develop a base of highly skilled international sales and marketing professionals who will work with leading high-growth Irish food and drinks businesses….The programme offers an opportunity to learn from the best minds in marketing and the food and drink industry, and the most ambitious of Irish food exporters, in a drive to increase export development’.

Aoife will be greatly missed both within and outside the NCSR. We give our heartfelt thanks for her hard work and dedication over the past years, and wish her the very best in this brave new career move.
