It was with great sadness that the news of Michael’s death after a short illness emerged last week. Michael was a great scientist, and was a constant source of solid advice during the early days of DCU, and during the establishment of the NCSR. He was a Principal Investigator in the Centre for Bioanalytical Sciences, which was a unique initiative involving joint investment by BMS and the IDA, later evolving into NIBRT. Always available when needed, he was a good friend, and is sorely missed by all who knew him.
