Field Test of Sensors at The Arctic

Research Scientists Dr Margaret McCaul and Sean Jordan working with Professor Dermot Diamond are travelling with Dr Alberto Ribotti and Andrea Satta of National Research Council, Italy (CNR,Italy) to the Italian Arctic Research Base to field test sensors developed at DCU.  The cost effective nutrient sensor developed at DCU is part of the COMMONSENSE European FP7 Project.  The aim of the project is to develop cost-effective sensors for the in-situ monitoring of key parameters that will contribute to our understanding of how the marine environment functions.
